About Ashcroft House
Ashcroft
House is a recently recommissioned nursing home that offers care to
eight clients with moderate learning disabilities and complex needs.
In addition to a high level of comfort, three bedrooms have been specifically
designed to accommodate service users with physical disabilities.
Situated in a leafy residential are of Bexhill on Sea on the south
coast, the home offers exceptional care in a quiet, residential environment
and is within easy access of the nearby seaside town.
Service users are encouraged through individual day care plans to
increase their life skills within the home through a series of specialist
day care opportunities, as well as educational and interactive play.
Reflexology & aromatherapy also enhance this holistic approach to
care.
Ashcroft has strong, well-established links with local day care centres
& educational establishments. Recreational facilities are plentiful
along this most attractive section of coastline and the beach, pleasure
& leisure parks, sports facilities as well as horseriding schools
and hydrotherapy are all within easy access.
Ashcroft House is situated close to the town centre and the support
it receives from the local community enables the service users to
utilise their acquired living skills with a socially accepting community.
The home has a spacious lounge and dining facilities, splendid gardens,
and single en-suite bedrooms with wash basins.
Accentuating ability
Working individually with clients in providing unconditional supervision,
support and choice, we achieve and maintain a highly professional
standard of care in an environment which encourages residents and
employees to flourish.
Beacon Care embraces a philosophy of accentuating ability and residents
are supported in developing self-help and daily living skills to increase
their independence.
Development and Training
Staff
development and training is prioritised as an integral part of the
provision. As well as a commitment to the nationally recognised NVQ
and Investors in People, we regularly commission training in areas
such as Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, First Aid, Sexuality Training
and Awareness, Risk Assessment, Control and Restraint.
Our staff are required to carry out tasks including all aspects of
care and record keeping to the highest specification. We are justifiably
proud of the high morale and low turnover among our staff.
We have built up an excellent reputation as a quality provider of
residential care for adults with a learning disability who may also
display challenging behaviour. Registration reports, which are all
available for review, emphasise the high standard of care, physical
surroundings and professionalism of the home.
We welcome referrals on behalf of adults with a learning disability
who require residential care. The service is needs led and we carefully
consider the viability of referrals in relation to meeting a client’s
needs. |
